As we come to the end of our mission in Monrovia, Liberia it feels like we arrived just a day ago. Yet it also seems like we have been here for a month. Even though the last 10 days were challenging and emotional, it has been a very rewarding learning experience for all of us. We managed to see 123 patients and provide 112 life changing surgical procedures for 78 of the patients.

It was amazing to see the hope on the faces of the parents as their children were examined for potential surgeries; and the overwhelming joy when the kids came back to the recovery room after the procedures. While others might see a hopeless end for the children of Liberia, to them "hope is like a road in the country; where there was never a road, but where many people walk, a road comes into existence"– Lin Yutang

This trip was an experience that I will never forget, I am forever grateful to Rotaplast for giving me the opportunity to be part of their wonderful organization.  Hope you will enjoy these fun pictures of our last day in Monrovia.
