Vincent is from Ginatilan Cebu, which is located in the southern part of Cebu, and it took 5 hours to get to the hospital.
Vincent is the younger of two children. The family owns a small merchant store in their home town. They sell basic necessities. Mom and Dad wanted Vincent to have the surgery for his cleft lip at the earliest age possible so when he went to school he wouldn’t know what it would be like to be different and wouldn’t be bullied. They heard about the mission from a local health office.
