Rotary District 7450 sponsored a significant portion of this mission. The money was raised by many of the clubs in the District contributing from money raised from charity events and also donations. Without the support of many Rotary clubs, the missions would not be able to take place so while we cannot thank every club in this blog here are a couple of ‘Thank you’ images from some very very grateful patients.
In addition to raising money to support the missions, Rotary clubs from the US and Canada supply beautiful quilted blankets that the patients use while in the hospital. Each patient keeps their blanket and takes them home with them. The blanket serves a very useful purpose of keeping them warm post op and are also a lovely memento to take home. Below are just a couple of the 60 or 70 blankets provided for the mission.
