Upon the completion of surgeries yesterday, we had rounds today and then the rest of the day to tour around. Once receiving the signal that everything was okay at the hospital, the local Rotarians arranged for us to visit a beautiful rain forest and resort of Mambukai. We had a tour of the beautiful grounds and butterfly conservatory walking around and taking in the sights. We all met for lunch and afterwards some decided to swim in the pool or go on a hike. When we got back to the hotel there was a pig roast organized by one of the parents whose child received surgery. It was their family business and their token of appreciation for the surgery that was provided.
