We are almost done with our mission and one thing that has stood out for me the most during my time here is the amount of strength and courage our patients have. So there are two words of the day today, strength – ခွန်အား (hkwanaarr) and courage – ရဲစွမ်းသတ္တိ (rell hcwm satti). Having surgery can be a very scary process but, thankfully, with the help of the Rotaplast team and the staff at General Hospital, our patients build up the strength and courage to go into surgery and begin the next steps in their lives.
