Dr. Goel enjoys returning to help her “peeps.” She feels she owes her country and her people a debt. She completed her medical school in India before immigrating to the U.S. 35 years ago.  She feels she needs to give back to her people because of the medical school education she received at a nominal price. The additional bonus is she can communicate with the patients directly without the need of an interpreter, which adds to her sense of job satisfaction. That has been a huge help to the entire team as the calls frequently go out for Dr. Goel to help bridge the language or cultural gap that sometimes crops up between the volunteers and patients.

Lead Pediatrician Abha Goel, M.D.
