After meeting in Dallas / Fort Worth, the team traveled to Monterrey, arrived in the evening, and were met by Dr. Elizondo and two local medical students. After securing a rental van for transportation, the team traveled into the city and enjoyed a very nice meal at a restaurant whose specialty is roasted baby goat. Unusual, but delicious. The meal also gave team members the opportunity to get to know Dr. Elizondo and some of his staff, and to build a rapport that would be important over the next several days of the mission.
After dinner, we went to the hotel, checked in and all team members were quickly asleep after the long day of travel.
