It’s difficult to put the experience of volunteering on a Rotaplast surgery and education program in words.
Below please find some photos from the clinic that might be able to give you the feeling better than words can.

Patients:

Organization: Putting the puzzle pieces together

Ward coordinator Meaghan Murphy getting the charts ready for patients!

Pediatrician Carlos Botas and Education Coordinator Aaron Woolman looking over schedules before getting back to the ward & education program.

Wrap A Smile:
After surgery, patients are wrapped in special quilts made by volunteers from across the United States. “Wrap-A-Smile” provides quilts for each mission, and the patients appreciate having them in recovery and then love taking them home.

Communication:
Team meetings are essential to ensure alignment between all parts of the surgery and education program.

Medical director Gary Salomon directing the symphony of care

Lead Anesthesiologist Dr. Harohalli Vijayakumar or Vijay has been working with us at AIMS in Nagamangala for years. He’s helped shape and realign the program to best align with the evolution of local need.

PACU Nurse Ellen Addams and her partner in crime, PACU Assistant Lisa Cohen and the one and only mission director, Tom Fox. Nice scrubs Tom! This is a look you should take to the golf course!
