Rotaplast Rotary Ambassador Program What is a Rotaplast Ambassador?
The Rotaplast Ambassador is the official representative of and spokesperson for Rotaplast International within a Rotary District. The main function of the Rotaplast Ambassador is to develop support from Rotary Clubs and Rotarians within a district and from other non-Rotary sources. We want you to share Rotaplast with your District creating opportunities for Rotarians to volunteer with Rotaplast while fundraising to provide patients with free surgery.
The objective is to create a Rotaplast committee in your District, drumming up support from clubs in your area, to raise funds to either fully or partially sponsor a Rotaplast surgical trip annually or bi-annually.

This is an opportunity to engage with your community offering people the opportunity to change people’s lives worldwide through our surgical program, bringing smiles and hope around the world. It is a powerful reason to reach out, engage, and inspire members across numerous clubs in your Rotary District. It brings you closer to Rotaplast, our other ambassadors, and our global community. This position also gives you perks such as a seat at the ambassador table at Rotaplast events, and priority access to undesignated non-medical volunteer slots. Lastly, and most importantly, become an ambassador for our patients. Without sponsorship, our patients do not receive care.
How does the Ambassador Program lead to Supporting Rotaplast’s Mission Through Sponsorship?
As an ambassador, you will engage at a District and Club level to assemble a Rotaplast Committee. The Rotaplast Committee will be responsible for setting up speaking opportunities for volunteers coming back from our trips to share Rotaplast with Rotarians and members of their greater community. Your enthusiasm, the infectious spirit and unique experience of our returning volunteers, and the opportunity to make a life changing impact worldwide inspires action. Our ambassadors put the Rotary in Rotaplast. This program is key to our proven success. Over the years we have tested and refined how to best engage your District to drum up support and meet sponsorship goals.
