The greatest gift we can give is thanksgiving.  In giving gifts, we give what we can spare, but in giving thanks, we give ourselves.

Brother David Steindl-Rast

We are grateful to so many for the success of this mission:

To the Charlotte Geyer Foundation for full funding for this mission.

To the Luxor Intertnational Hospital, Dr Takay, it’s General Manager, to the medical and-non-medical staff, who welcomed us, and gave us their help and support, and the space to do our work during our mission.

To the Rotary Club of Egypt, Cairo South, District 2451, for all their support in laying the groundwork for our mission, for their financial support, and for being there everyday at the hospital for whatever we needed.

To the AFS Intercultural Group of Egypt, Alumni, for their exuberance and endless energy in providing translation from the beginning to the very end.

To our families and employers back home, for allowing us the time for this mission, and for covering for us while we are gone.  We could never do this without you.

To all our patients, for their trust in us, and their heartfelt gratitude for the help they received.

For now, we must leave and go back to our lives.  We will never forget our time here in Egypt, and all those who participated with us for this very successful mission.  I heard someone say that they’ve never so seen so many tears and goodbyes on a mission in all their many years of traveling.  I think I speak for each of us in saying that we hope to back here again with all of you someday, providing surgeries to the people of Egypt, Insha’allah.

We don’t know what life will bring, so its what we bring to life that matters.
