Khit (pronounced Heet) and her grandparents joined us in clinic three days ago. They travelled by bus for 5 hours from a village outside of Naypyidaw. Khit is being raised by her grandparents because her parents live in Thailand for work. Khit’s father works in a rice factory and her mom works in a CD making factory. When Khit’s mom was seven months pregnant she left Thailand to come back to Myanmar to give birth. She stayed with Khit until she was 6 months old and then left Khit with her grandparents in order to return to Thailand. Khit is able to see her mother only when she is given some vacation time, which unfortunately, isn’t too often.
Khit’s grandmother said she was very happy with the result of Khit’s surgery and she is very grateful to the Rotaplast doctors.
