Day 2 – Twelve Surgeries Completed
San Salvador, El Salvador
One of our patients stole our hearts (all the children steal your heart actually). Meet Victor Ramirez (11 months), who was waiting for surgery for the repair of right cleft lip. The first photo is Victor before he met Rotaplast, and the 2nd photo is Victor & his mother after the workk of Dr. Bill De Shazo. Victor's mother was so happy, and thru our translator Amelia Ward, stated that the Rotaplast team were angels, and could not thank us enough. Victor received a handmade bear & a quilt (thanks to Bonnie Dwyer & her happy quilters). It doesn't get any better than this to see a child smiling less than 24 hours after their procedure.
