Wayne Schoenfeld is a world renowned photographer, executive producer and director at New Democracy Production. He is the international charity winner of the 2009 Medal of Peace award. Wayne uses photography, films and documentary to bring attention to social and humanitarian causes. His work is exhibited in the U.S., Canada and Europe. When he is not on the road filming, Wayne likes spends his time with family between his two homes in California.
His film crew has been following Rotaplast missions around the world for the last 10 years. Their first mission was in 2002 to Vietnam. "I love photography because it gives you the power to be spontaneous and tell the truth through picture," says Wayne. This year Wayne and his film crew accompanied us to Monrovia, Liberia to film his upcoming documentary which is scheduled to be released sometime in December, 2013. They interviewed some of our volunteers, patients, and hospital staff and documented some of the procedures in the OR.
