Earlier in the week, we set up a mini-clinic in the records room to process walk-in patients seeking Rotaplast’s help. Three year old Koby enjoys getting on and off the scale to be weighed.Families gather in the hallway near the door to the records room listening to volunteer Liza Rago provide information of the registration process. The records room provides a private space for the surgeons, anesthesiologists, and pediatricians to examine and evaluate each patient. Once it’s determined that they are cleared for surgery, Head nurse Mia Pena, RN makes changes to the the schedule with records clerk Maria Bertolone. One child was added today. The others, if cleared will be scheduled for another day.
