As we prepare for Closing Clinic, we are filled with the anticipation of seeing patients again, and the sadness of saying goodbye to them.  Many patients returned, some for dressing changes, but many just to thank us one more time for changing their life, or that of their child.

We’ve gathered all our remaining gifts for patients to choose from after their visit.

We repaired quite a few cleft lips.

This patient was so frightened of Dr Joe, our pediatrician, when they first met in opening clinic.  Now they share a hug.

One of Susie’s friends said goodbye and thank you many times.  She is now able to open and close her right eye after the skin graft to release the burn contracture.

Happy patients posing with their ASF friend, Jessy.

Dr Neal Fleming, Anesthesiologist, and Dr Angelo Capozzi, Medical Director, sitting with a patient during Closing Clinic.

Saying goodbye.

A gentle word, a kind look, a good-natured smile can work wonders and accomplish miracles.
