Rotaplast team members meet Saturday evening at San Francisco International Airport to begin the journey to Apartadó, Colombia. Twenty-nine medical and non-medical volunteers will arrive with 22 boxes of medical supplies. Veteran team members renew friendships made on past missions and welcome first time volunteers to the life changing work of a Rotaplast mission.
With stops in Panama City and Medellín, the team was complete when we reached Apartadó. Key team members visited the Clinica Americana, our host hospital, on Sunday to review the logistical plan for the next two weeks.
