The inauguration ceremony organized by the local Rotary Club kicked things off on day two of the mission.
Diana Rios, an absolute workhorse, had the tough task of inputting and organizing all the medical records of the patients.
The patients, after being registered, were seen by the nurses, the surgeons and anesthesiologists, the pediatricians and finally the speech therapist. Although it was not possible to clear everyone for surgery, the ones who were not selected were sent home with the promise of next year.
The day began at 07:30 am and ended at exactly 07:30 pm. In 12 long hours, the team managed to screen almost 130 patients!
