Today is our last day of the mission in Firozabad. This mission is mainly characterized by the many burns. Unfortunately, it still happens very often that children get burns in and around the house. The biggest cause is actually that the circumstances in the kitchen (cooking with kerosene and heating oil) lead to unsafe situations. Young children do not see the danger and are soon victims of this. Of all children with burns, their bandages are changed both today and tomorrow morning. There are still a few last operations scheduled in the morning.
After the clinic and the last operations, all materials are packed again, the operating theaters (OR’s) are dismantled and prepared for departure tomorrow afternoon.
In the afternoon we have an extensive farewell party (cake ceremony) and certificates were awarded to all those involved in this mission.
