This morning we paused at the bus to enjoy the sights and sounds of a Guatemala dawn.

Before starting surgery in the morning, the surgeons check on their patients from the day before and give instructions for post-surgery wound care.

PRE-OP
The patients stay the night before so they are ready for surgery the next day. Mystic Palencia of La Crescentz, CA is the Ward Coordinator that oversees the patients prior to surgery making sure they do not eat or drink anything. As they wait, the children are given small donated toys to play with and crayons for coloring to keep them busy.
