Today was our first day of surgeries! Our team’s day started with a relatively quick set up, evaluation of patients and within hours we were operating on our patients. We completed 9 successful surgeries most of which were burn cases and one cleft lip repair. With the help from some of our local Rotaract Club of the University of Chittagong members and medical staff and students of Southern Medical College Hospital as translators our patients were comforted and cared for with love, vigilance and dedication. Tomorrow starts again early for our amazing team of volunteers, nurses and doctors, after only two days in the clinic and hospital we are working as one and are excited for day two of surgeries!
