Twelve year old Khushi’s bright smile greets me this morning from her pre-op bed. She shows me the picture she colored last night. Years ago her face was badly burned. Last year, Rotaplast was able to give her eyebrows by transplanting pieces of her hair to her face. Khushi and her family traveled 50 kilometers for Khushi to receive another life altering surgery. Her mother, Mamata carries a picture of Khushi from last year with her new eyebrows. This morning, Khushi had an operation that released contractures around her mouth and nose. Mamata comforts Khushi along with recovery nurse Jane Luey, RN.
